Queensland’s elite junior athletes compete at the Australian Junior Championships each year in Under 20, Under 18 and Under 16 age groups.

Under 16 State Teams
2021 U16 State Performance Program Trials
Registrations for 2021 U16 State Performance Program (SPP) Trials will open later this year, with trials scheduled for January.
BQ is conducting open trials for registered U16 players. From these trials a SPP squad will be selected. Both North and South Queensland State U16 teams will be selected from the SPP squad after further assessment from SPP training and from viewing regional and state championship games.
Eligibility : Athletes born in 2006 and 2007 are eligible to trial for the 2021 U16 SPP.

Time: 9am - 11am & 1pm - 3pm (must attend both sessions)
Thursday, 21 January
Boys
Venue: Cornubia Park Sports Centre
Time: 9am - 11am & 1pm - 3pm (must attend both sessions)
Saturday, 30 January - Rockhampton
Boys & Girls
Venue: Rockhampton Basketball
Time: 9am - 10:30am & 11:30am - 1pm
Sunday, 31 January - Cairns
Venue: Cairns Basketball
Girls: 8am - 9:30am & 11am - 12:30pm
Boys: 9:30am - 11am & 12:30pm - 2pm

- 5-6 December 2020 Selection Camp – Sleeman – (not included in U20s State Team Fee)
- 9 – 10 January 2021 State Team Camp #2 – Sleeman, Brisbane – (included in U20s State Team Fee)
- 6 – 7 February 2021 Pre-Departure Camp – Sleeman, Brisbane – (included in U20s State Team Fee)
- 10 – 14 February 2021 Australian Junior Championships – CoE, Canberra – (included in U20s State Team Fee)
